Abstract

Corporate fraud remains one of the most pressing challenges in modern business, with significant economic and reputational consequences for organizations worldwide. This paper seeks to reconceptualize financial fraud by proposing a new theoretical framework that integrates behavioral, technological, and regulatory dimensions. While traditional models such as Agency Theory, the Fraud Triangle, and Rational Choice Theory have offered valuable insights into fraud dynamics, they fail to address the evolving complexities of digital finance, globalized markets, and advanced fraud schemes. Through a comprehensive review of existing frameworks, this paper identifies key gaps in their ability to explain and prevent modern corporate fraud. The proposed framework emphasizes a multidimensional approach, incorporating artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain technology, and advanced data analytics to detect and prevent fraud in real-time. Moreover, it underscores the importance of ethical governance, transparency, and corporate accountability in mitigating fraud risks. The implications of this framework are far-reaching, suggesting policy and organizational reforms aimed at fostering proactive fraud prevention measures and reinforcing international cooperation. The paper concludes by outlining future research avenues focused on improving technological interventions, refining regulatory frameworks, and understanding the behavioral aspects of corporate fraud.
