Abstract

Cultural heritage plays a crucial role in shaping the creative industries, especially in regions rich in tradition and history, such as Nagaland. This research explores the impact of Naga cultural heritage on the development of creative industries, focusing on arts, crafts, fashion, and design. The study examines how traditional Naga art forms, rituals, folklore, and craftsmanship are integrated into contemporary creative ventures, fostering entrepreneurial opportunities in the region. Additionally, it investigates the challenges and opportunities faced by creative entrepreneurs in preserving and modernizing cultural expressions while ensuring economic sustainability. The paper further highlights the role of cultural tourism and local festivals in promoting these creative industries, and the potential of cultural heritage to attract investment and create jobs. Findings suggest that while cultural preservation is key to the identity of Nagaland, a strategic balance between tradition and innovation is necessary to ensure the long-term growth of the creative sector.
