Technology Entrepreneurship: An Academic Perspective
Abstract
Technology entrepreneurship integrates principles of innovation, strategic management, and entrepreneurial behavior to drive economic growth and societal development. This paper explores the theoretical and conceptual frameworks underpinning technology entrepreneurship, drawing from established academic theories such as Schumpeter’s Innovation Theory, Resource-Based View, Dynamic Capabilities Theory, and others. It also presents a conceptual framework illustrating the relationships between key components like technological innovation, entrepreneurial orientation, resources, market environment, institutional support, and networking. The analysis provides a structured foundation for understanding how technology-based ventures can leverage innovations for sustainable development and success.
